I get asked how I reversed my Hashimoto’s and how I help my clients reverse their Hashimoto’s. I wish I can say that I cut gluten out of my diet and I was magically healed. However, that’s not the case. Hashimoto’s is a long and complicated journey, but there’s always light at the end of the tunnel!
Here’s some of what I did do to reverse my Hashimoto’s symptoms:
- First, I invested a huge amount of money into functional medicine practitioners…
I spent like thousands and thousands of dollars. These practitioners ran lots of functional labs on me which revealed many things. They revealed that I specifically had gut bugs, leaky gut, excess toxins, and hormone imbalances. We then cleared all of that out of my system overtime, rebalanced my hormones, and restored my body of nutrients it was depleted of. This was the BEST investment I ever made for my health. This is why I am now a functional health practitioner. - I did go 100% gluten-free, dairy-free, and soy-free.
I also wound up doing an AIP diet for over 3 months. This certainly got rid of most of my symptoms like heart palpitations and digestive distress. After that, I transitioned into a paleo diet and have been doing that for over 6 years and it works great for me. If you want to know more about the AIP diet and if it can help you then schedule a free health consultation with me. Click on the button below to schedule your call. I would love to hear about your autoimmune disease. If you have any other health issues you are struggling with you can consult me as well to see if a diet like this is a good fit.
- In addition, to help reverse my Hashimoto’s I stopped overtraining my body.
In other words, I went from a competitive weight lifter and muay thai kickboxer, to taking more rest days. I also incorporated more slower going activities like yoga. When you have an autoimmune disease there is a delicate balance exercise and managing symptoms.
- I healed a lot of trauma. This means I got over trauma from physical and emotional abuse to other past traumatic experiences as well. I was holding this trauma in my body and it was manifesting as disease. If you are not familiar with the concept of stress and trauma trapped in the body, read the book The Body Keeps The Score.
- I got my breast implants removed

- I started prioritizing myself.
In other words, I spent more time and resources on self-care, sleep, nourishment, love, fun, and whatever else I need to feel my best self
- Finally, I went back to school to become a functional practitioner after I reversed my Hashimoto’s.
I decided that I should continue healing myself and then do the same for others. My goal is to give you all a shortcut past the endless doctors visits and jump straight to the healing
Above all, I never once took a pharmaceutical drug to help with my Hashimoto’s issues.
However, I do respect that sometimes, these conventional treatments are necessary or helpful while working on the holistic pieces in your life. I always encourage people to do what is best for themselves. I also advise people to work with two parties: a medical doctor AND someone like myself who specializes in functional labs and holistic health.
Although I am symptom-free and healthier than I have ever been in my entire life, I still continue to work on my nutrition and lifestyle habits. My health is my first priority and it should be for you too because without our health we don’t have much.
What Should You Do to Improve Your Health and Reverse Hashimoto's Symptoms?
I believe you should be investing your money in all of these things: healthy foods, a functional practitioner, therapy, and whatever other holistic tools to optimize your health. Why? So that you can stop wasting your money every year at the doctor’s office and on prescription meds. Instead, you can actually get healthy and stay OUT of the doctor’s office. Think of the long term!
Again, if you have not found relief in your symptoms, whether autoimmune-related or other, but you are READY to get healthy, I invite you to schedule a free call with me. I would love to hear what’s holding you back from the health you deserve and desire, and I can assess if we can work together or not in order to get you there.
